The i-Net
target market consists of the business, corporate and government
sectors of Guyana, those entities that have a need to communicate
globally, within the Caribbean region and between themselves
and remote offices in Guyana. These include finance, insurance
and information technology companies, banks and trust companies,
international agencies, trading & retail companies, utilities,
manufacturers, hotels and tourism-related businesses, and
all forms of government agencies.
In achieving
its objectives, i-Net will be assisted - as a full partner
- by the Barbados based Infinetworx Caribbean Inc. whose wireless
communications and value added services are unique, with a
proven demand in the Caribbean region. Indeed, Infinetworx
has pioneered, and now owns and operates, the Caribbean's
first high-speed T1 / T3 wireless network, and its market
scope potentially encompasses the entire Caribbean with links
into Latin America, North America, Europe and the far east.
i-Net
Communications Inc. will be responsible for:
Installation,
maintenance and upgrades, as well as the replacement, of provided
materials
Customer
service, front line support as well as on-line support on
a 24-hour basis
Hardware
and software
Local
loop network management and trouble-shooting, as well as billing
administration for the Internet circuit.
E-mail
support is also available
Clients
may call the technical support lines 24 hours a day in the
event that assistance is required. On-Site field service is
provided to clients as part of the contract.
i-Net
will be implementing a new Web-based Internet conference style
support interface which will allow customers and technicians
to work together on resolving a problem directly on their
computer screens.
i-Net
has a software-based network management system which allows
our technicians to access equipment at client sites and remotely
manage that equipment. In the case of the wireless network
hardware units, there is full warranty, support, maintenance
and upgrade to the units throughout the lifetime of the contract
for services to the client.
i-Net
will provide a fully supported, maintained and managed connection
circuit to the internet or private data network, along with
the necessary equipment to enable the circuit.
i-Net's
responsibility covers the demarcation points between the network
Router Unit at the client's premises and the i-Net Main Network
Routers at our central network operating centre. In cases
where i-Net has signed a support and services contract for
the client's internal network, this network will be supported
in the same manner as wireless circuits are supported.
